Leave

During this time of healing, I just wish people would leave me alone.

I know people are concern etc - but this is not the way for me to heal. I don't need people fussing around me or show me that they care by asking questions. I just need to be alone. Loneliness doesn't kill me, I enjoy the me time and the time to think things through.

People are really annoying me now - with their pretentious act and attitude. Even stupid things , for example my 'friends' status updates on FB , I get annoyed for no reason. Usually I don't say anything but when it really annoys me I do. I don't understand the whole point of update status facility if it isn't really an update. (Nobody reads this blog anyway so don't really care if my entry make sense)

Why can't people just say what they mean? Isn't it more hard work trying to be clever with words and run amok around word manipulation? When it can be so simple to just say what they wanted to say? Like if you have a wonderful life - then just say it. If you have a lousy life - then just say it. If you hate/love somebody then just say it.

This post is becoming a complete nonsense - why should I even bother about what people put on their status updates? Gosh being off work is driving me nuts! I need to get back to work fast!

Boredom

After my 2nd weekly visit to my GP, I headed to town to get some groceries. The sidewalks were slippery and I was cursing inside for wearing the wrong footwear. It was either turn back empty handed or risk falling down.

I decided to risk it. Got my groceries and treated myself to SATC 2 DVD. Yes peeps I haven't got round watching the movie.

I was completely transfixed. I am not a fan of the series , I have watch some episodes but not religiously. Anyway, in my personally opinion SATC 2 is not as good as SATC 1. Can't really put my finger on it but something just isn't right. Anyhoo it was a good way of killing my boredom. :)

Pretentious so and so

I am quite annoyed with a few people , no I do not hate them but I just wonder why do I bother mixing with them. One main reason is these people are in my life by defaults. Yes some of you may know what that means.

To avoid them means to upset my household prosperity. For sure this shouldn't be an issue if I could just tell him that I am not comfortable with them.  In a way I too have become pretentious, as I have to put on a 'smiley' face every time I have to meet them.

The main reason that annoys me is their 'I know what is best attitude'. Sure I dress differently (not provocatively but I just am different from them) and sure I don't shout out how pious I am (or not :)). Anyway, I am just so tired of them. One of my close friends , said to me 'what an unnecessary stress you have put yourself through'. I couldn't agree more with her.

I am also so tired of them judging me in everything I do. There was a lady who commented on the boots that I was wearing and blatantly said that I could afford those boots because I was working. WTH? She is working as well and earning a decent wage. (Obviously the bridge between us have been burnt down ages ago, pretending to be nice to each other for the sake of our other half). Am I not allowed to treat myself? If I do treat myself should she have the right to make me feel about it? I don't shop like a mad woman, I shop when there is a bargain/sale. I let out a sigh of dismay upon hearing this and wished so hard that I don't have to see her ever again. My only consolation that she lives 3 hours away so I don't have to deal with her on a daily basis.

Another incident is when I mentioned about festivities to this group of people , suddenly I am the 'bad' one for wishing to celebrate other festivities. Hypocrites! What is wrong in joining in with other festivities? That doesn't mean that suddenly it would thwart their/my faith? How weak are their soul that they have to limit themselves to living under a rock. I was beside myself with disappointment and disgust.

Another thing that gets me is they harp on non-compulsory activities when the main point is to do the compulsory activities. But these are the same people that are back bitching and stabbing each other. WTH??

I find it funny (not in a ha ha way) that a small group of people can't even get along , no wonder they can't be bothered with getting to know other races or lifestyle.

Learning is not limited to one genre, if anything learning should open your mind and if your own faith is strong enough it will withstand all temptations.

On my way home today, I was approached by a group of ladies -  they were preaching about their religion. I politely said no thank you but they didn't go away. So I thought to myself , well where is the harm in listening to what they have to say ( every religion teaches us to respect one another). Again may I reiterate the fact that I am not pious but I know myself in my heart where I stand. So I allowed them to go on, once they have finished what they have said , I thanked them for their time and walked away. Did they shake my faith? No they didn't. Did I feel good about myself? Yes because I wasn't rude and I respected them.

We all believe or don't believe in something or someone. But that doesn't give any one the right to be judgemental.

I am ashamed and saddened that I am associated with this group of people.

Common courtesy

It makes me really annoyed when people don't have the most basic common courtesy. And it makes it worse when it is your better half who is lacking of it. C'est la vie , just gotta live with it can't change a leopard's spots in one day.

Interesting

Had few shares of first hand experiences of such kids - thank goodness they don't live under the same roof as me.

Bone china

Currently I have a new craze - as per the title you might have guessed it by now. Yup I am fixated on buying tea sets (bone china). Of course as like with anything, I did my research on the background of bone china and bone ash - pretty interesting read so far which I think should be shared. Click on the links below to find out more about this exquisite method of making porcelain.
Please bear in mind that I am not responsible for the content of these third party sites.

Is it really bone china?

What is bone china?

Snide remarks

There is so much of snide remarks that I can take in one day by the same person. I don't care how long you have known my spouse for but to me that doesn't me that he has the right - he is just somebody I know by proxy.

I find it outrageous that this guy thinks that he and I automatically have a special friendship bond - and thinks that what he says is funny.

I have to admit that sometimes it is funny - but when it is just continous it does get to me. I was thinking I might have upset this fella in the past but thinking even harder this fella is no angel as well

I want to say something but I know by doing that it is basically opening up a can of worms as I would be tarnishing the 'harmonious' invisible bond.

C'est la vie.

BBQ aftermath

Yes! Even though I was feeling under the weather and didn't really feel like attending a BBQ party - winning the main quiz prize made my day! All in all it was surprisingly a great day  and more surprisingly we (Hubby and I) really had a good time. :)

At this moment

Nothing much is happening, we will be going out soon to hopefully a fantastic BBQ gathering but that is about it.

Another weekend spent cleaning and more blogging.

Have a GOOD one folks!

Need more traffic ??

I kid you not , this is such a cool way to get more traffic to your blog. I am still new at it, but it so easy and much more user friendly.

Try it you WON'T regret it.

Blog hopping and Entrecard

So while Iam indulging myself with afternoon football - all the last 10 matches of the Premier League are on now. (yes I am that sad). I thought that I would clear all the old messages in my Entrecard mail box at the same time.

Revisited all the blogs that I used to visit back in 2008 - which brought fond memories - won a contest as well which I have completely forgotten.

However as I was clicking on another website that I used to visit regularly back in 2008 , I was shocked to learn that the author of the blog had passed away in January 2009. Yes a whole year ++ has passed since my gung ho days with Entrecard and blog hopping. It saddened me completely and it brought things into perspective and snapped me back into reality as well.

When we blog hop we tend to forget that bloggers are real people with real issues and problems, I usually get 'lost' in the blogsphere when I am blog hopping and 'dropping' cards. To read that someone had passed on is really sad. If her sister didn't update the blog on her behalf , all her readers would be none the wiser.

Does get you thinking what will happen with your own blog when that day comes.

May her soul rest in peace.

Show your love

* Show your concern by asking about the activities that your wife has done during the day
* Be a good listener to your wife.
* Provide at least 30 minutes of quality attention to your wife.
* Give the flowers, perfume or the like as a gift when she is angry.
* Cook or bring her out for breakfast/lunch/dinner out once in a while.
* Give praise the appearance to your wife (hair, face, clothing, etc.).
* Provide assistance or cooperation. (house chores)
* Spend more time with your wife, especially if both of you hold full time jobs.
* If you know you will return late, tell your wife in advance or home phone.
* When you have a problem, share it with your wife , do not place blame.
* Tell your wife if you wish to be left alone.
* Give hugs and cuddles to your wife at least four times a day.
* Give your wife a call from work to inquire every once a while , even if it is just want to tell "I love you."
* Tell her you miss her when you are away .
* If you are out of the country, call your wife everyday to let her know that you are okay.
* Always go to bed at the same time.
* Massage the back your wife once in a while.
* Hug your wife occasionally without sexual implications.
* Be patience when listening to your wife's stories and problems.
* Do not walk miles apart when you are out together. When out walking , it is good to hold hands
* Occasionally make a cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate for your wife.
* If you wife is unwell, give her the appropriate attention.
* Pamper your wife once a while.
*Give your wife a hug before going to work.

Basically it is not rocket science. It is not us asking for mountains to be moved. The gifts and treats are not that important - just a few minutes of attention in a day is all what a woman need.

Telling someone you care doesn't mean spending an obscene amount of money. Being taken for granted is a terrible feeling and why would you do that to someone that you love?

If you can't be appreciative to your wife , don't expect to receive mint treatment from her. Women do things around the house not because for fun it's because that's how women show their love - they want their husbands to have a clean and in order home, cooking meals everyday means women want their husbands to eat good meals - women don't do this just because it is (assumed ) her 'job'.

If a man wanted someone to run around for them - then get a maid not a wife.

A marriage is a give and take situation, one party can't always take without giving. There must be a balance. If a man can't show a little appreciation, then DON'T get married. Women don't get married to be a 'free' maid, women don't get married to get more heartache and women certainly don't get married to feel less loved.

It is all ABOUT sharing.

Sharing your love and life together.

'Idlelitis'

'Idlelitis' - I've used this word in my previous post. Okay I'm sure many of you have used this word as well. I didn't bother checking whether this is a proper word or made up.

But it does fit to some people that I worked with. I may not be perfect at work as like any other human being, I do enjoy a little bit of skiving here and there . When I say skiving , I mean longer lunch breaks. (but I always have the extra hours to have longer lunch breaks).

However, there is one woman in my department (there are more than 300 people in this branch) who is so lazy and so sly. One thing I dislike about work is when people abuse the system and what is so strange about the whole thing is people like her always seem to get away with it.

How oh how does an 'idlelitis' manage this? These people are basically thieves, as only thieves would work so hard to come up with lies and bad antics to get a short cut in life. Yup let all the other people do the hard work, as long as their pay goes in they don't give a toss.

The story is so long about this person and I wish I could pen it down, but I shouldn't even have honoured this 'idlelitis' with a long post.

Just suffice to say that she should just resign and give her job to somebody who really wants to be employed. Anyhoo, I believe in karma... and as clever as she thinks she is , one fine day it will all come back haunting her. Her lies , her deceit (yup played the sick card but while being off sick she had a bbq party!) plus with her fakeness - she is worse than a politician +thief combined.

Sick of 'idlelitis' people!

Waste not , want not

Even with the over whelming amount of 'hung parliament' news coverage, one piece of news that slipped through was about eating and drinking f&b that has past its use by dates.

Well according to the news reporter ,the amount of food waste that we make today would shocked our ancestors.

One guy (but I am sure he isn't the only one) came up with an idea to start a business selling these products at a bargain price. Now with the current economic climate - this is certainly a brilliant idea.

I've checked out the website and it is quite good. I was especially interested in the coffee and pet food section. :) The only thing that I didn't fancy was the delivery charges but I didn't browsed properly earlier , it was running too slow maybe demand is high. So I will browse some more later in the night. It does NOT only offer delivery within UK but to other parts of Europe as well.

Now why didn't I think of this ?? I could be making a good chunk of income by now rather than having to work with people who suffers from 'idlelitis'.

Cleansing sponge(s)

I caught an advert today about this product.. how very interesting and also pretty much ironic. I have been searching for the right cleansing sponge ever since my favourite cleansing sponge 'died'. I got it from home and bought only 2 pieces.

So I bought the cleansing sponge(s) below from my local chemist, but boy of boy - it is not as subtle as my old favourite sponge(s). I've tried drenching it on thoroughly but that didn't do the trick. In the end I gave up and put it in the bin. It was just not worth the pain.

Next on my shopping list is to purchase the new Garnier product, read some reviews and most of it stated that the bristles are soft. Yay, I can't wait to try it out. Let's hope my local chemist will stock it. Bear in my folks, I reside in a small village and it may take some time before fancy new products are on the shelves.

A good role model?

Manchester United vs Chelsea 2010

I have one problem with this image .. not so much about him drinking while a match is going on. But the fact that he must be the only player who sits in the executive box (when unable to play), I have yet to see other players of other teams to do the same as him. Usually even if players are injured , they will sit at the stands. Am I reading too much into this?

I just think the whole game has lost it's purity and this is a classic example , where fame gets in the way. My thought is if he could make it to the executive lounge he could make it to the normal seats and be nearer to the team.

Indeed, they get paid too much for just kicking around a ball on a field. That is pretty 'disgusting' situation.
