What is life without a little hardship

The topic says it all. What will be the meaning of life without a little bit of hardship.

We have all had our share of hardships. Some may be more dramatic than others and some may be more fatal than others. Whatever it is/was , we all should be grateful that we have survived and managed to live yet another day.

Yeah am sounding quite heavy , sorry folks. There are times when I see a half empty glass but there are also times when I see a half full glass. Tonight it is the latter.

Having, looking, saving and getting more money is on every ones' agenda since it was invented. It never seems to be enough. My friends and I, used to wonder why have we not been born with a golden spoon in our mouths - why do we have to work so hard to make ends meet? While some just can do f*ck all and still be able to live lavishly. But on the flip side, I'm glad that money has not completely control my life. Sure it is great to have more money but I think I am content the way things are.

I have had my share of wealth when I was younger and I have seen how that have changed the one closest family member to me. How he changed when he had too much money and abandoned his own family for another. Too much money will make a person go power crazy and will think that they are above the law. Too much money will make a person go obnoxious and arrogant. Too much money will make a person forget their spiritual responsibilities. Too much money will make a person forget where they've come from. Too much money will make a person whinge when they can't have trivial things like a brand new sports car when other people in the world are dying of thirst.

I do wonder though sometimes,if things were different, whether I would be a different person. I wonder though would I be a rich brat. I am glad and thankful that I have had my fair share of hardship.

Truth to be told, I learned the real value of money much later in my life and for that I know that I have been truly blessed. I have learned to appreciate it more and not live life too fast. I have learned to appreciate people more and be more understanding. I have learned to not only look at face value and that everyone has their good points.

I have learned that no matter what happens, my family will always be there for me. I have learned that when I was in my lowest moments, my true friends appear. I have learned that during a miserable stage of life, faith brought me to meeting my husband. I have learned that whatever happens in life , it always happen for a reason no matter how bad it is. I have also learned that money isn't everything and what makes me happy most is to be with people that I love. I have to keep reminding myself that whatever amount of money I make it may make my life MORE comfortable but it won't make my burial space any bigger.

Feel blessed that wealth has come to your life and be mindful that nothing last forever.

Locking in and out

Never thought that trying to get in and out of this house would turn out to be such an adventure. On Monday, as I opened the kitchen door I was shocked to find that hubby has not locked it. Muttering and slightly cursing under my breathe , I closed the door and tried to lock it. But it wouldn't just turn. Darn! My train is due to arrive in ten minutes ( station is just a 5 mins walk), no time to fiddle about with it so I shut the door and called out for my neighbour. Told them what happened and asked if they could just keep an eye out for any suspicious activity. My neighbour are a retired couple and has always been very helpful.

Why aren't we using the front door like normal people? Well that's buggered too! Haha but the front door problem is we can't opened it!

Now we don't know whether this is pure coincidence , what with the freezing cold weather that we have been experiencing during the past few days. Whatever the reason was , it was making me restless.

Anyway back to the back door. When I got into work, I asked hubby what happened to the doors! As usual the answer is 'I don't know' . hahah well poor guy of course I know why he doesn't know but I thought I have to show my annoyance to someone :)

He rang the estate agents and they said that they will get a locksmith to come over as soon as possible.

Well the locksmith didn't come by on Monday, so we had to improvise and tied the back door (two door) with really thick ropes! Oh my goodness I don't know how we managed to sleep that night. I felt really 'exposed'.

Thank goodness that the locksmith came by today and has resolved both issues! Front and back doors. We can sleep soundly tonight.

The boy does nothing

By Alicia Dixon. I don't really care for the music but the words is quite close to home.(almost)

I got a man with two left feet
And when he dances down to the beat
I really think that he should know
That his rhythms go go go

I got a man with two left feet
And when he dances down to the beat
I really think that he should know
That his rhythms go go go

CHORUS
Does he wash up? Never wash up
Does he clean up? No, he never cleans up

Does he brush up? Never brushed up
He does nothing the boy does nothing
(Repeat chorus)

Hey boy how you been?
I got a thousand lines
Where do I begin?
And II been here, been there
Traveling
I saw you at the corner
My vibe kicked in

And
Two fields
I clock you
Wearing tight jeans
A real nice suit
He was smiling like you
Was just seventeen
I asked him for a dance
He said ‘yes please’

Take a sip of dancing juice
Everybody’s onto you
Through the left and to the right
Everybody hit the rhythm
It’s on tonight
I’m gonna feel the heat within my soul
I need a man to take control
Let the melody blow you all away

CHORUS
Does he wash up? Never wash up
Does he clean up? No, he never cleans up
Does he brush up? Never brushed up
He does nothing the boy does nothing
(Repeat chorus)

Work it out now
Work it, Work it out now

Do the mumbo
Shake it all around now

Everybody on the floor
Let me see you clap your hands

I wanna see you work
I wanna see you move your body in turn
I wanna see you shake your hips and learn

I wanna see you work it, work it, work it out now

I wanna see you work
I wanna see you move your body in turn
I wanna see you shake your hips and learn

I wanna see you work it, work it, work it out now

CHORUS
Does he wash up? Never wash up
Does he clean up? No, he never cleans up
Does he brush up? Never brushed up
He does nothing the boy does nothing
(Repeat chorus)

And if the man can’t dance, he gets no second chance
